A NEW STAGE OF STRATEGIC COOPERATION BETWEEN KAZNARU AND ANKANG UNIVERSITY (CHINA)

✅On October 27, 2025 The Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) hosted a high-level delegation from Ankang University (People’s Republic of China), led by its President Mr. Yu Jin.

✅The delegation was received by Dr. Pirimkul Ibragimov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNARU, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor. In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Ibragimov emphasized that this meeting marks the beginning of a new strategic stage in strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between the two institutions. He highlighted KazNARU’s leading role in ensuring food security in Central Asia and underscored the university’s successful experience in establishing effective partnerships with leading Chinese universities.

✅President Yu Jin expressed sincere gratitude to the KazNARU leadership for their warm hospitality and commended the university’s achievements, noting its prominent position not only in Kazakhstan but also among the top universities in the region. He emphasized KazNARU’s pivotal role in advancing agricultural science and education in Central Asia. Mr. Yu also elaborated on Ankang University’s research initiatives in the agro-industrial complex, stressing that cooperation with KazNARU will create valuable opportunities to enhance the bilateral education system and promote scientific innovation.

✅Furthermore, President Yu Jin expressed appreciation for his long-standing and productive collaboration with Professor Akylbek K. Kurishbayev, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNARU and President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He expressed confidence that the two institutions would continue to expand their achievements and reach new milestones in the years ahead. Despite the Republic Day holiday, Mr. Yu expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception and extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire KazNARU community on this national occasion.

✅The meeting was also attended by Mr. Duman Imanmadi, Director of the Kazakhstan–China Scientific Center, along with other university representatives. The discussions, held in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect, resulted in an agreement to strengthen cooperation in three key areas:

✅Firstly, in the modernization of education and enhancement of academic programs. The two universities agreed to collaborate on improving curricula in Smart Agriculture and Agricultural Biotechnology to align with global standards by integrating institutional resources. Priority will be given to the development of joint degree programs that combine the best international practices and promote academic excellence.

✅Secondly, in expanding academic and staff exchange programs. To prepare future agricultural scientists at an international level, both parties will launch short- and long-term mobility programs for students and academic staff. These initiatives aim to serve as effective platforms for the exchange of knowledge, professional skills, and cultural experience.

✅Thirdly, in initiating joint scientific research and innovation projects. The two universities agreed to combine their scientific and technological potential to conduct joint research in Smart Agriculture (including IoT and Big Data technologies in agriculture), as well as in the development of industrial crops and food industry innovation. Such research will make a direct contribution to regional and global food security.

✅The meeting concluded with a shared understanding that this collaboration marks a new and productive stage in the long-term, trust-based partnership between KazNARU and Ankang University.

✅Following the official discussions, the delegation from Ankang University visited KazNARU’s scientific and innovation infrastructure, including modern laboratory complexes and major joint research centers established in cooperation with Chinese partner universities.
