Organization of legal work (Officer)

The graduates' professional activities include: • legal support for the activities of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan; • protection of the rights of military personnel and ensuring compliance with military discipline; • consulting with command on the application of legislation; • participation in international legal work and the implementation of humanitarian law; • training and education of personnel in the legal sphere.

Based on their basic and specialized training, graduates can perform the following tasks in their professional fields: • preparing legal opinions and drafting documents for military command and control bodies; • providing legal support for official activities and contracts; • monitoring compliance with the law and military discipline in units; • representing the interests of the military unit in courts and government agencies; • organizing legal information and training for personnel; • participating in investigations and hearings of military offenses.

Graduates, in accordance with their basic and specialized training, can perform the following functions at professional sites: • legal support for the activities of military units; • development and legal review of orders, regulations, and other documents; • consulting with command and military personnel on legal matters; • protecting the rights and legitimate interests of military personnel in courts and other bodies; • organizing and conducting legal training and educational work with personnel.

Graduates' professional areas of expertise include: legal support for military units and command and control bodies; document preparation and legal review; legal counseling for command and personnel; protection of the rights and legitimate interests of military personnel; and organization of measures to maintain law and order and discipline.

The objects of professional activity of graduates are: the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international law; legal relations arising in the activities of the Armed Forces; law enforcement practice in military units and institutions; the activities of military command bodies, military courts, the prosecutor's office and the military police.

The scope of professional activity of a military lawyer is the totality of means, methods and techniques of legal activity in the context of military service, aimed at ensuring the rule of law, law and order and the protection of the rights of military personnel, military units and bodies of the Armed Forces.
