Welcome to the website of the “Physical Education and Sports” Department of Kazakh National Agrarian Research University!

Physical education in higher education institution is an integral part of the national program for the formation of general and professional culture of the personality of a modern specialist.

As an academic discipline, mandatory for all specialties, it provides profiled physical readiness, education of conscious need to lead a healthy lifestyle. It is one of the means of formation of a fully developed personality, a factor of health promotion, optimization of physical and psychophysical state of students in the process of professional training.

Physical education classes provide for the solution of educational and health problems.Educational work of the department lies in the formation of a healthy lifestyle through the participation of university students in sports and mass activities and sports sections. Students annually participate in spartakiads, numerous competitions held by the city and Medeu akimats - city athletics competitions, flash mobs, competitions in soccer, volleyball, chess, table tennis and other sports.

The department annually holds:

- “Densaulyk” Spartakiad among the faculty and staff of the university;

- Traditional Interfaculty Spartakiada;

- “First year student” Spartakiad;

- Autumn and Spring Cross-Country Games

The teaching staff of the department conducts educational and training sessions for students in various sports: boxing, freestyle wrestling, kazakhsha kures, sambo, judo, athletics, volleyball (male, female), basketball (male, female), soccer, fitness-aerobics, togyzkumalak, chess and table tennis.

In different years, the results of the department were the training the champions of the world and the Republic of Kazakhstan in many sports and winners of the Universiade of RK are as the following:

- I Summer Universiade of RK universities in 2001, our team in wrestling kazakhsha-kures became the champion;

- II Summer Universiade of higher educational institutions of RK in 2003 our team of boxers and men's volleyball team took the first place;

- beach volleyball and boxing teams took the first place at the III Summer Universiade of higher education institutions of RK in 2005;

- IV Summer Universiade of RK in 2007 the men's volleyball team of the University and the men's beach volleyball team became the champions;

- I Winter Universiade 2007 men's national basketball team of the University won the III place, women's mini-football team took the II place;

- the 5th Summer Universiade 2009 the boxing team of the university was the champion, and the men's volleyball team became the silver medalist;

- VI Summer Universiade in 2011 the men's volleyball team of the university became the champion;

- VII Summer Universiade in 2013 the men's volleyball team of the university took first place;

- VIth Winter Universiade 2016 team of Kazakh National Agrarian University was the bronze medalist in the overall Universiade.

At this time, the teaching staff of the department includes 1 candidate of pedagogical sciences, 1 associate professor, 1 master of sports of the USSR, 2 masters of sports of RK,

4 candidate masters of sports.
