INFORMATIONAL LETTER
The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs about the upcoming II Congress of Young Scientists of Kazakhstan with international participation, dedicated to the UNESCO theme “Trust, Transformation and the Future: The Science We Need by 2050”, announced on the occasion of the World Science Day for Peace and Development on November 10, 2025.
The II Congress of Young Scientists of Kazakhstan will be held on December 11–12, 2025, in Almaty, at 28 Shevchenko Street, “Gylym Ordasy” building, and across five universities of Almaty.
Objectives of the Congress:
The Congress will be a great opportunity for young scientists to present their work to a wide audience. Within the framework of the Congress, it is planned to hold a plenary forum session with the participation of laureates of prestigious international scientific prizes (Nobel, Fields, Abel, Breakthrough Prize, USERN etc.), five thematic scientific conferences, as well as a round table and a foresight session, which will be attended by leading young scientists from Kazakhstan and foreign countries.
Scientific conferences will be held in the following areas:
A roundtable discussion titled “Kazakhstan Foresight: The Science We Need by 2050” will be held as part of the Congress program.
The scientific conferences and the roundtable will take place at leading universities of Almaty.
The plenary forum will feature a panel discussion with the participation of prominent young scientists and key representatives of the scientific community.
The congress is attended by the chairmen of the Councils of Young Scientists of Kazakhstan, talented young scientists, researchers successfully working in foreign countries, heads of universities and scientific organizations, members of the National Council for Science and Technology under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Kurultai, chairmen and members of the National Tax Service.
Key events within the framework of the Congress:
In addition, a scientific and educational exhibition showcasing the latest innovative developments by young scientists will be organized in the main hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
