Celebration of the Day of Agricultural Workers at KazNARU

The Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) marked the national Day of Agricultural Workers with an institutional event recognizing the essential role of agricultural professionals in ensuring food security and supporting the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan’s regions. The celebration underscored the university’s commitment to research excellence, sustainability, and high-impact education.

The ceremony was opened by the First Vice-Rector, Professor Pirimkul Ibragimov, who delivered the official address on behalf of the Chairman of the Board – Rector, Academician Akylbek Kuryshbayev. The message emphasized the strategic importance of agriculture for national welfare and highlighted the priorities set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev regarding digitalization, automation, and innovation in the agro-industrial sector. The university’s leadership reaffirmed KazNARU’s role in advancing scientific research, integrating innovative technologies, and strengthening the sector through qualified graduates.

All faculties of the university presented academic exhibitions demonstrating scientific achievements, innovative technologies, and applied research in agronomy, veterinary sciences, engineering, water resources, IT, and business. The displays reflected KazNARU’s contributions to environmental sustainability, environmental research, and knowledge exchange, aligning with global ranking indicators.

Representatives of partner companies and agricultural enterprises participated in the event, sharing insights on current industry trends and reinforcing the university’s impact on employability and graduate outcomes as well as its broader social impact.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates of appreciation to active contributors and a cultural program performed by KazNARU students, supporting community wellbeing and engagement.
