PROSECUTION OFFICE OF ALMATY HELD A MEETING WITH KazNARU STUDENTS
On December 2, 2025, an important event aimed at enhancing the legal literacy of young people was held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University. Organized within the framework of the “Law and Order” initiative, the interactive session brought together leading specialists from the Almaty City Prosecutor’s Office and representatives of law enforcement agencies, who provided students with extensive information on pressing legal issues in society.
Among the invited guests were key figures from the law enforcement sector, including Asan Mukhtaruly Nurbosynov, Head of the Department of the Almaty City Prosecutor’s Office; Mukhtar Muratuly Kerimbekov, Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor; Zhanna Bazarbekkyzy Keldinova, Assistant to the Prosecutor; Altai Serikuly Almambetov, Senior Prosecutor of the Department; as well as Rustam Sanatuly Raimbekov, Deputy Head of the Investigation Division of the Medeu District Police Department. They provided detailed explanations on legal requirements, legal culture, and issues of digital security.
The session was moderated by Ashirali Zhusipuly Smanov, Head of the Youth Affairs Department, who ensured the effectiveness of the event and facilitated direct communication between students and experts.
Speakers elaborated on preventing common offenses among young people, the risks posed by lack of legal awareness, and the importance of knowing one's rights. Altai Serikuly highlighted the issue of harassment in modern society, explaining its legal consequences and types of liability with concrete examples. Zhanna Bazarbekkyzy spoke about widespread forms of financial and online fraud, urging students to be cautious with suspicious messages and offers.
Additionally, speakers emphasized the growing relevance and dangers of deepfake technologies. They noted the increasing cases of misuse of personal data, financial fraud, and reputational harm through falsified video and audio content. Students were advised to remain vigilant online, verify the authenticity of digital materials, and protect their accounts and personal data.
Concluding the official part of the event, Maksat Mukatayevich Imanbekov, Leading Specialist for Social and Legal Affairs, underscored the importance of fostering legal culture among young people. He noted that such meetings play a significant role in ensuring student safety, identifying risks in the modern digital environment, and improving legal awareness. He emphasized that the university will continue these efforts systematically, as the legal security of students remains a top priority.
