LITERARY AND MUSICAL EVENT DEDICATED TO THE 180TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GREAT ABAY KUNANBAYULY AT KazNARU
✅ On December 4, 2025, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University hosted a literary and musical event dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great poet, educator, and prominent figure of Kazakh spiritual culture — Abay Kunanbayuly. The evening was organized within the framework of cultural and creative cooperation with the Faculty of Philology of Abai KazNPU.
✅ The event began with a welcoming ceremony accompanied by melodious musical compositions. During the official opening, the host emphasized the significance of Abay’s legacy in national culture and science, highlighting the historical continuity between the two national universities.
✅ As part of the program, active students of KazNARU presented a medley of Abay’s songs, offering the audience musical pieces enriched with profound spiritual meaning.
✅ During the evening, the Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Abai KazNPU, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Alua Vasilyevna Tanzharykova, delivered a congratulatory speech, stressing the scholarly, educational and moral value of Abay’s creative heritage.
✅ The main part of the event featured the dramatic performance “Abay – Togzhan” staged by the student theater “Ürker” of the “Kültegin” creative association of the Faculty of Philology. The performance aimed to delve deeply into the artistic world of the great poet. The character of Togzhan and her spiritual significance in Abay’s life were presented with expressive artistry, highlighting the grace, dignity and inner beauty traditionally associated with Kazakh women. The production played an important role in promoting national literary heritage, inspiring the audience’s creative potential and encouraging further literary and cultural exploration.
✅ At the end of the event, KazNARU Vice-Rector for Educational Work Asima Shangbaykyzy Eraliyeva presented letters of appreciation and awards to the guests. As a token of warm regard, a basket of red Aport apples, specially brought from the village of Baibulak, was gifted on behalf of the university.
