WINNERS OF THE “BEST UNIVERSITY TEACHER – 2025” COMPETITION
A solemn award ceremony for the winners of the Republican competition “Best University Teacher – 2025” was held in Almaty. Following the selection process, 150 faculty members of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan were awarded the honorary title. The awards were presented by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek.
Among the winners are representatives of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU):
🔹 Aigul Absultankyz y Zhapparova — Professor of the Department of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Faculty of Agrobiology, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of KazNARU;
🔹 Asylbek Mailybaiuly Musoev — PhD, Head of the Department of Biological Safety, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Engineering.

The конкурс commission evaluated the level of scientific publications, implementation of electronic educational resources, development of teaching and methodological materials, availability of patents and innovative developments, as well as contribution to training specialists for higher and postgraduate education systems.
Professor Aigul Zhapparova is a recognized expert in agrochemistry and soil science. In recent years, she has published articles in international high-ranking journals, including Q1 journals such as Agronomy and Sustainability, as well as journals recommended by the national accreditation bodies. Under her supervision, Master’s and PhD students are successfully trained.
A graduate of Saint Petersburg State Agrarian University, she has been working continuously at the department since 1993. She began her academic career as a postgraduate researcher under the supervision of Academician R.E. Eleshev and progressed from assistant to professor. Her long-standing academic and pedagogical career is a vivid example of dedication to science and education, professional perseverance, and a constant commitment to growth and excellence.
Asylbek Musoev actively implements scientific projects in veterinary safety and epizootology aimed at ensuring the country’s biological and food security. He is the author of publications in international journals, holds more than 16 patents in the field of veterinary medicine, and has published a monograph. His research includes the development of diagnostic methods and vaccines against infectious animal diseases.
The awarding of the title “Best University Teacher – 2025” confirms the high level of teaching excellence, scientific productivity, and innovative activity of the academic staff of KazNARU.
The achievements of the laureates reflect the University’s strategic course toward advancing scientific research, integrating into the international educational space, and training competitive specialists for the agrarian sector.
The staff of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University sincerely congratulates Aigul Zhapparova and Asylbek Musoev on this well-deserved recognition and wishes them further scientific success, new research projects, talented students, and outstanding professional achievements for the benefit of national science and education.
