KazNARU STRENGTHENS SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION WITH GERMANY
On May 29, 2026, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) hosted a meeting with Professor Dr. Matthias Kramer, Chief Executive Officer of NETSCI GmbH from the Federal Republic of Germany. The meeting was held with the participation of Akhylbek Kurishbayev, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNARU, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Academician, and President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in science, technology, education and sustainable development.

Akhylbek Kurishbayev emphasized the particular importance of developing international scientific partnerships amid global challenges related to climate change, the rational use of natural resources, strengthening the genetic base of agriculture and ensuring the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex. He also noted that KazNARU is systematically developing a scientific and innovation hub model that brings together education, science, business and government institutions, while actively promoting green transformation, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, digital solutions, sustainable water management and modern approaches to the development of agricultural science.

An important outcome of the meeting was the signing of a cooperation agreement between KazNARU and NETSCI GmbH. The document provides for joint scientific research, the development of project proposals, academic and expert exchanges, cooperation in education, as well as the implementation of innovative solutions.

Investment financing is planned to be attracted for the implementation of the project. This will provide an additional impetus to the development of scientific research, the implementation of joint projects and the strengthening of the university’s international cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Rafis Abazov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Abzal Abdramanov, Head of the International Office, faculty deans, heads of departments and representatives of the university’s scientific structural divisions.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation in science, technology, education, sustainable development and the implementation of joint research projects.
