KazNARU AND CHINA'S LEADING AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY BEGIN A NEW STAGE OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
On July 6, 2026, in Xi'an, People's Republic of China, as part of the official visit of the delegation of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU), a meeting was held between the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of KazNARU, Primkul Sholpankulovich Ibragimov, and the President of Northwest A&F University, Professor Wu Pute.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of cooperation between the two universities. Over the past decade, the partners have successfully implemented joint educational and research projects, academic mobility programs, and signed a number of agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Primkul Sholpankulovich Ibragimov conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of KazNARU, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician Akylbek Kazhigulovich Kurishbayev, and emphasized the importance of moving from agreements to practical implementation, including the launch of dual degree programs starting from the next academic year.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further cooperation in science and education, the establishment of joint international laboratories and research centers, the expansion of academic mobility for students and faculty members, the training of young researchers, and the implementation of joint international research projects.
Special attention was given to research in the fields of sustainable agriculture, water-saving technologies, restoration of degraded lands, food security, plant breeding, animal husbandry, as well as the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in the agro-industrial sector.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to elevating the strategic partnership between KazNARU and Northwest A&F University to a new level.
