THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN APPROVES THE KazNARU DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

On August 11, 2026, at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the KazNARU Development Program for 2026–2030 was approved.

As a result of the Program’s implementation, the University’s facilities and technical infrastructure will be upgraded across all areas of study.

A total of 33 new teaching laboratories, an Innovation Center for Digital Technology Education, and a Smart Agriculture Center will be established, laying the foundation for a qualitative transformation of KazNARU’s educational and research activities.

The University will also establish its own educational and production platforms to support the implementation of dual education. These will include a smart farm for dairy and beef cattle breeding, goat farming, a poultry farm, as well as a modern forest nursery and greenhouse for the further scaling-up and propagation of products developed by the Microclonal Propagation Laboratory.

To modernize the University’s existing social, service, and technical infrastructure, its IT, server, and network infrastructure, library, and printing facilities will be further equipped and upgraded. Academic buildings and student dormitories will also be reconstructed.

In addition, it is planned to strengthen the material and technical base of the research institutes (RIs) and experimental farms (EFs) under the trust management of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University through the establishment of a technology park, specialized research centers, and laboratories.

In total, the University Development Program provides for KZT 27.2 billion in funding from the national budget.

The achievement of all targets and performance indicators set out in the Program will enable KazNARU to become an internationally recognized research university.
