Reading Competition "Language Is a Window to the World: Abai, the Word and the Person" Held
On September 28, 2026, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University held the reading competition "Language Is a Window to the World: Abai, the Word and the Person" as part of the subject week dedicated to the Day of the Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. The competition was the second stage of the program "Тіл — халықтың жүрегі, ұлттың тірегі" ("Language is the heart of the people and the pillar of the nation").
The aim of the competition was to develop speech culture and expressive reading skills, to reveal students' creative abilities, and to foster interest in literature, poetry and the art of the spoken word.
The competition was attended by students who presented poems, literary compositions and musical-poetic works. The performances were distinguished by expressiveness, artistry, emotional depth and a creative approach.
The competition was held in four categories: "Oratory," "Expressive Reading," "Musical and Poetic Mastery," and "Mastery of Interpretation."
