Debate on the topic "Green Future of Almaty: Environmental Problems of the City and Ways to Solve Them"

On February 20, 2025, a debate on the topic "Green Future of Almaty: Environmental Problems of the City and Ways to Solve Them" was held at the faculty of the Higher School of «Business and Law» with the participation of students of the departments  «Management and Organization of Agribusiness" named after H.D. Churin and   «Accounting, Audit and Finance». The debate described the main environmental problems of Almaty: air pollution, tree felling, water shortage, garbage and waste recycling, transport issues.

The problem was considered from the position of the state, businessmen and citizens. An open discussion with the audience was held. The audience and the participants themselves asked each other questions, stated their positions and arguments.

As a result, specific solutions were discussed: what the city government, business and residents of the city can do for the "green future" of Almaty.
