My languages are my wings
On the occasion of the Day of Languages of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, celebrated on September 5, the Department of General Education Disciplines organized a language decade from September 5 to September 24, 2024. As part of the decade, thematic lessons on the topic "My languages are my wings" were held among students. Teachers of Russian, Kazakh and English languages organized competitive events, based on the results of which the winners were determined and awarded with diplomas and certificates.
On September 5, 2024, the opening ceremony of the language week was held in the university assembly hall, where Abdyrov Aitzhan Mukhamedzhanovich and Zhonkeshov Bauyrzhan Seisenbekovich spoke. At the opening, students were informed about the events that awaited them.
During the decade, the following events were held:
1) Teachers of the Kazakh language and social and humanitarian disciplines organized a trip to the museum with first-year students;
2) Teachers of English held an Olympiad among first-year students;
3) Teachers of the Russian language organized a video tutorial competition, the winners of which competed in their knowledge of the Russian language, taking a test in the Kahoot system.
On September 24, 2024, at the closing ceremony of the language decade, the winners of the Olympiad were awarded. All participants of the events were awarded letters of gratitude on behalf of the Vice-Rector of the University. The final word was given to the head of the Department of General Educational Disciplines Bauyrzhan Seisenbekovich Zhonkeshev.
