About the project
Relevance
Fungal infection is widespread among young cattle and occurs in mono- and associated forms. Therefore, the preservation of well-being of young cattle and improvement of existing vaccine preparations for the prevention and therapy of animal trichophytosis is a necessary condition for the development of animal husbandry. Animal trichophytosis is included in the list of especially dangerous diseases, prevention, diagnosis and elimination of which is carried out at the expense of budget funds (Annex 5 to the order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan from October 30, 2014 № 7-1/559). For treatment and prevention of animal trichophytosis in Kazakhstan, expensive vaccine preparations imported from abroad were purchased through public procurement.
For the first time in Kazakhstan, regulatory and technical documentation will be developed for a pilot live monovaccine against bovine trichophytosis from a local highly immunogenic vaccine strain of trichophytosis (trichophyton verrucosum). The experimental live monovaccine will receive regulatory and technical documentation and a scientifically validated sample with all protection and scientific and technical documentation. Upon receipt of all science-based documents, the live monovaccine will be submitted for commercialization. There are 7,613,900 cattle in Kazakhstan. According to the state program of agro-industrial complex development in Kazakhstan it is planned to increase the number of cattle up to 15 million heads.
The idea of development of scientific and technical documentation on developing experimental live monovaccine against trichophytosis of cattle at twofold application, with an interval of 14 days, is aimed at prevention and treatment of especially dangerous fungal infection.
Therefore, it is necessary to develop regulatory and technical documentation for experimental live monovaccine against cattle trichophytosis, which in the future will have a positive impact on the development of the country's economy and attract young scientists in the scientific environment.
Objective
Development of normative and technical documentation for experimental live monovaccine against bovine trichophytosis.
Achieved results
1) Published 1 (one) article in a scientific publication indexed in the Art and Humanities Citation Index or Social Sciences Citation Index Web of Science database or having at least 50 percentile in CiteScore in the Scopus database, and published 2 (two) articles.
2) Published 1 (one) monograph of at least 6 peer-reviewed papers recommended for publication by the holders of at least two academic titles of professor and/or doctoral degree.
3) Received 2 (two) patents (utility model) from the Kazakhstan patent office.
4) The normative-technical document for the developed experimental live monovaccine was prepared and sent for approval.
5) As a result of research works, an experimental live monovaccine against cattle trichophytosis was developed.
6) For the first time in Kazakhstan developed domestic experimental live monovaccine against bovine trichophytosis from local high-munogenic strain of trichophytosis. For the first time patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the domestic live monovaccine were obtained. The obtained results will be used for elimination of especially dangerous fungal infections in animal husbandry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
7) Two (2) articles were published in the publications recommended by “Science and Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee” of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Information for potential users
The obtained results will be used for eradication of especially dangerous fungal infection in cattle farms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
