Zhamalov Kalas Zhamaluly was born on 27 December 1954 in the settlement of Village Council No. 12, Kazaly District, Kyzylorda Region. In 1972 he graduated from Kazakh Secondary School No. 88 named after U. Tuktibayev, and in 1982 from the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics of S. M. Kirov Kazakh State University. He defended his Candidate of Sciences dissertation in philosophy in 1991 and his doctoral dissertation in 2007.
He worked as an assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, and head of department at O. A. Baikonurov Zhezkazgan University. He was an associate professor and professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Academy of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, and the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering. He was an expert at the National Center for Technological Forecasting. He retired in 2021.
Research interests and areas of study: history of philosophy, history of political thought, social lessons of traditional Kazakh society, culture of the Ancient East, and the history of world civilization.
His scientific works have been published in Kazakhstan, Russia, and the USA.
