The sphere of professional activity is the field of military science and technology, which includes a set of technologies, means of methods and methods of human activity, aimed at the order of application of a logistics unit for the organization of nutrition, combat support of units.

The subjects of professional activity of the graduate are: timely and good-quality food preparation; Preservation and completeness of the food to the customers, put according to the norms; Proper use and preservation of technological and refrigeration equipment, tools and tableware; Observance of sanitary and hygienic requirements when handling food, preparing, distributing and storing food and washing dishes; special training of cooks and other canteen workers and their observance of personal hygiene; maintenance of the canteen and the surrounding area in exemplary condition.

A graduate can perform the following types of professional activity: 1) organizational and managerial; 2) operational; 3) administrative and economic.

1) good-quality preparation of food, preservation and completeness of delivery of norms to the personnel; 2) development of high moral and human qualities, culture of interethnic relations, responsibility for execution of service duty, orders of commanders and superiors, as well as discipline and reasonable initiative in their actions; 3) organize the proper operation of technological and refrigeration equipment, personal training of cooks and bakers in the rules of operation, maintenance, routine maintenance of equipment and safety measures in the performance of their work; 4) control for the timely and complete serving of tables and ensure the correctness of the issuance of food; 5) control over the receipt by the instructor-cook (chief cook) of food to the canteen from the food warehouse of the unit in terms of quantity and quality.
