The Model UN KazNARU International Club is a dynamic student-led initiative that brings together future leaders passionate about diplomacy, SDGs, global affairs, and sustainable development. The club’s mission is to foster international understanding and critical thinking through simulations of United Nations committees and global policy debates.
The mission of the Model UN KazNARU Club is to advance understanding of the UN and contemporary global issues through quality educational programs that emphasize sustainability, collaboration and cooperative conflict resolution and prepare participants for active global citizenship in the frameworks of university. We envision a world comprised of civically engaged people who strive for peaceful, multilateral conflict resolution and equitable, sustainable human development.
The vision of the Model UN KazNARU Club is to empower a new generation of changemakers who think globally and act locally, contributing to Kazakhstan’s role in international cooperation and sustainable development.
The goals of the club include developing students’ public speaking, negotiation, and research skills, promoting awareness of global challenges such as climate change, food security, SDGs, and human rights, and encouraging youth participation in international dialogue.
Membership is open to students of all disciplines and nationalities at KazNARU. We welcome diversity and encourage participation in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
Activities: Members engage in bi-weekly activities, workshops, guest lectures, and committee simulations, and have opportunities to represent the university at national and international Model UN conferences.
