ㅤㅤThe Department of «Energy and electrical engineering» is a leading scientific and educational department dedicated to the development and implementation of innovative solutions in the field of energy saving and automation of processes in agriculture. Here, students gain in-depth knowledge of energy consumption optimization methods and apply them to improve the efficiency of agricultural production. Working in this field, they introduce advanced technologies aimed at reducing energy costs, improving product quality and reducing negative environmental impacts.
ㅤㅤThe department trains specialists in the following educational programs:
ㅤㅤㅤ–ㅤEnergy systems engineering;
ㅤㅤㅤ–ㅤElectrical engineering;
ㅤㅤㅤ–ㅤEnergy supply of agriculture;
ㅤㅤㅤ–ㅤThermal power engineering.
ㅤㅤTo date, the department has 1 Doctor of Sciences, 6 candidates of Sciences, 4 PhD, 10 Masters of Sciences.
ㅤㅤAt the Kazakh Agricultural Institute, the first electric power department "Electrical Engineering" was organized in 1938, the head of the department was Zubkov Yuri Dmitrievich.
ㅤㅤThe active work being carried out in the republic on the electrification of rural settlements and the widespread introduction of electrified machines, aggregates and automation of technological processes into agricultural production required the training of engineers with appropriate qualifications. Therefore, in 1948, the department "Electrification of Agriculture" was opened as part of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization. In 1950, this department was separated into an independent faculty "Electrification of Agriculture". In the same year, two special departments were organized: "Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering", the heads of which were Ph.D. Associate Professor Zubkov Yuri Dmitrievich (1951-1974), Ph.D. Associate Professor Mikhail Ivanovich Sylkin (1974-1981), and Ph.D. Associate Professor Keshuov Seitkazy Asylseitovich (1981-1987) and "The use of electric energy in agriculture", which was headed by Ph.D. Associate Professor Rubtsov Pavel Alexandrovich (1951-1957), senior lecturer Babkov Pavel Timofeevich (1957-1958), Ph.D. Associate Professor Tasbulatov Hassan Tasbulatovich (1958-1975), Ph.D. Associate Professor Te Trofim Trofimovich (1976-1980) and Ph.D. Associate Professor Uteshev Utebai Uteshevich (1981-1987). In 1953, as part of the Faculty of "Electrification of Agriculture", the third special department "Production and distribution of electric energy" was organized, the heads of which were Ph.D. Associate Professor Tylevich Lazer Zinovievich (1953-1964) and Ph.D. Associate Professor Zakharov Alexey Andreevich (1964-1965). In 1965, in connection with the opening of the specialization "Power Supply of agriculture" at the faculty, the department was renamed first to the department "Electric Machines", and then to the department "Electric Machines and Power Supply of Agriculture", which was headed by Ph.D. Associate Professor Zakharov Alexey Andreevich (1965-1987).
ㅤㅤIn 1978, two new special departments were allocated from the Department of "Application of Electric Energy in Agriculture": "Electric drive", headed by Ph.D. Associate Professor Omashev Argin Gazizovich (1978-1982) and "Automation and Automation of production processes", headed by Ph.D. Professor Valentin Alexandrovich Ksenzov (1978-1982). In 1982, these departments merged again into one department called "Electric drive and automation of production processes", the heads of which were PhD Professor Valentin Alexandrovich Ksenzov (1982-1984) and PhD Associate Professor Anatoly Nikolaevich Makarov (1984-1987). In 1987, on the basis of the departments "Application of electric energy in agriculture" and "Heat Engineering", the department "Application of electric and thermal energy in agriculture" was organized, the head of which was elected Ph.D. Associate Professor Uteshev Utebai Uteshevich (1987-1992) and on the basis of the departments "Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering", "Electric machines and power supply of agriculture" and "Electric drive and automation of production processes" two departments were organized: "Electrical Engineering and automated electric drive", which was headed by Ph.D. Associate Professor Keshuov Seitkazy Asylseitovich (1987-1996G.) and "Operation of electrical equipment and automation", the head of which was Ph.D. Associate professor Sadykbekov Tleuserik Abishevich (1987-1994). In July 1992 due to the reorganization of the department "Application of electric and thermal energy in agriculture", two departments were formed "Electrotechnology", the head of which was elected Ph.D. Associate Professor Uteshev Utebai Uteshevich (1992-1996) and "Heat Engineering", the head of which was appointed Ph.D. Associate Professor Zhaksybaev Chapai Zhaksybaevich (1992-1996). In 1994, in connection with the opening of new specializations, two new departments were organized on the basis of the department "Operation of Electrical Equipment and Automation": "Operation of electrical equipment", the head of which was appointed Ph.D. Associate Professor Omashev Argin Gazizovich (1994-1996) and "Automation of agricultural production", which was headed by Ph.D. Associate Professor Munsyzbayev Tleukhan Musalimovich (1994-1996).
ㅤㅤIn 1996, by Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 422 dated April 11, 1996, the Kazakh State Agrarian University (Kazgosagru) was established in order to further improve higher and secondary special education, effective use of scientific and pedagogical staff and the material and technical base of educational institutions, and improve the quality of training specialists for the agro-industrial complex. According to the decision of the Academic Council of Kazgoagru, by order of the rector No. 1-49 dated May 28, 1996, by combining the faculties of agricultural mechanization, agricultural electrification and engineering and pedagogical, an engineering educational, scientific and production complex (UNPC) was formed. Two electrotechnical departments were included in the engineering UNPC: "Power supply and electric drive in agriculture", created mainly on the basis of the departments "Electrical Engineering and automated electric drive", "Operation of electrical equipment" and "Automation of agricultural production", headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor Keshuov Seytkazy Asylseitovich (1996-1997) and "Electrification agriculture and renewable energy sources", formed mainly on the basis of the departments of "Electrical Engineering" and "Heat Engineering", the head of this department was appointed Ph.D. Associate Professor Uteshev Utebai Uteshevich (1996-1997). On July 1, 1997, by combining the departments of "Electricity Supply and electric drive in agriculture" and "Electrification of Agriculture and renewable energy sources", the Department of "Electricity Supply and Electrification of Agriculture" was organized, the head of which was appointed Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor Keshuov Seitkazy Asylseitovich.
