The course "Epizootology and Infectious Diseases II" explores the goals and methods of epizootological research, the nature of infection and infectious diseases, the principles and patterns of epizootic development, the concepts of infection foci and focal diseases, the nomenclature and classification of infectious diseases, and preventive and health measures.
Students gain knowledge of infectious diseases common to various animal species, as well as infections of ruminants, horses, pigs, young animals, and poultry: their definition, geographic distribution, history of study and evolution, etiology, epizootological characteristics, pathogenesis, clinical and pathological signs, diagnostic and preventive methods, and measures to combat epizootics.
