DIGITALIZATION AND AI: ADVANCING AGRICULTURE THROUGH INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILIT
On November 13, 2025, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University held a high-level roundtable discussion titled “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan’s Agricultural Sector”, marking the national Day of Agricultural Workers.
The event brought together leading researchers from KazNARU and affiliated research institutes, reflecting the university’s strong commitment to research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and knowledge exchange—core indicators in global university rankings.
Strategic Vision and Governance
In his opening remarks, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board – Rector, Primkul Ibragimov, highlighted the strategic national importance of agricultural digitalization. He emphasized that effective transformation requires strong institutional cooperation between academia, government, and industry—demonstrating KazNARU’s focus on robust governance and evidence-based policy support.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the First Forum of Agricultural Workers, stressed the national priority of further digitalization and automation of the agro-industrial sector, reaffirming the relevance and timeliness of the roundtable discussions.
