Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zooengineering Visit Almaty Museum of Arts
Students of group VM-25-17 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zooengineering at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University visited the first modern Almaty Museum of Arts in Almaty.
Visiting the museum contributes to expanding students’ horizons and the harmonious development of their personalities. In addition, it fosters patriotism, cultural awareness, and respect for the history of their country, helping students understand that knowing, loving, and respecting the history of their native land is the duty of every citizen.
Almaty Museum of Arts consists of two floors.
-
The first floor houses the exhibition halls “Great Steppe” and “Saryarka”, as well as a separate hall dedicated to the work of the renowned artist Richard Serra, titled “Intersection”. There are also “Art Street”, the multifunctional Al-Farabi Hall, a professional collection storage, and a restoration room.
-
The second floor is devoted to exhibitions by contemporary artists. Students admired works by prominent artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Bill Viola, and Anselm Kiefer.
In addition to the exhibition halls, the museum has spaces for concerts, film screenings, theatrical performances, and lectures, as well as educational programs for children and adults.
After touring the museum, students gained valuable knowledge and spiritual enrichment. In class, they shared their impressions and discussed their thoughts about the visit.
The museum is a place where artifacts representing the past and present of our history, as well as the values of different nations, are concentrated. The combination of installations by domestic artists with world-renowned works in the same space clearly demonstrates Kazakhstan’s international cultural influence. Almaty Museum of Arts is undoubtedly an important milestone in the development of the country’s cultural sphere.
Our goal is to introduce students to works of art, cultural values, creative arts, and the culture of our homeland. Educating knowledgeable and cultured generations is our primary mission.
