A Literary and Musical Evening Dedicated to Independence Day Was Held at KazNARU: “Independence – The Pride of the Nation”
✅ On December 16, in celebration of Kazakhstan’s Independence Day, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) hosted a literary and musical evening titled “Independence – The Pride of the Nation.”
✅ At the ceremonial event, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University, President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of Kazakhstan, academician Akylbek Kazhygululy Kurishbaev congratulated all participants on the holiday and highlighted the importance of projects aimed at the country’s economic and geopolitical development, as well as enhancing the university’s competitiveness. He also noted that the principle of Abai Kunanbayev, “Strive to know more,” remains a cornerstone of the university’s educational strategy.
The Rector emphasized that KazNARU students actively study on the AI-Sana and Coursera platforms and gain practical experience through a joint Artificial Intelligence dual-degree program with Zhejiang University of Technology. In recent years, the university’s student body has grown by 20%, including approximately 1,000 international students. The concepts of Digital University and Green University have been implemented. KazNARU entered the QS-2025 Top 700 global ranking, secured 6th place in Central Asia, and for the first time joined the THE WUR 2026 ranking, becoming one of the five leading universities in Kazakhstan.
✅ During the celebration honoring the legacy of Alash, several distinguished professors, faculty members, and staff of KazNARU were awarded state and public honors.
✅ In particular, on behalf of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan:
• National award in honor of Naila Bazanova for women scientists – Kerimova Ukiylay Kerimovna;
On behalf of the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan:
• Medal “Veteran of Labor” – Aktamberdieva Zaure Salkeevna;
• Medal “Excellence in Agriculture” – Oleichenko Sergey Nikolaevich;
• Certificate of Honor – Naushabayev Askhat Khamitovich;
On behalf of the Minister of Ecology, Geology, and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan:
• Honorary title “Distinguished Forester” – Baitasov Murat Omarovich and Toktasynova Feruza Abetovna.
✅ Additionally, a group of staff members received the “Outstanding Contribution” badge, Certificates of Honor, and Letters of Appreciation on behalf of the Chairman of the Board – Rector, recognizing their achievements and professional dedication.
✅ The literary and musical evening continued with a rich concert program. Talented students of KazNARU, including the Univers group, dombrists from the Serper organization, dance groups WayB and ONE, the Ұлы дала quartet, and others, presented diverse performances blending national music with contemporary art, elevating the national spirit.
The event highlighted the value and significance of independence, fostering patriotism, pride in the country, and respect for its history and traditions among the audience.
