KazNARU STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE XII CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION OF THE KAZAKHSTAN LANDSCAPING ASSOCIATION
On February 19–20, 2026, the XII Conference and Exhibition of the Kazakhstan Landscaping Association (AOK) titled “Future Landscape in the Urban System” was held in Almaty at the Atakent Exhibition Center with the support of the Association.
Alongside representatives of the professional community, experts, heads of профиль organizations, and specialists in landscaping, landscape design, and sustainable urban development, students of the educational program 6B08304 – “Landscape Design and Landscaping” (groups LDO-23-07K and LDO-23-11R) took part in the event under the supervision of the Head of Department I.K. Maisupova. The Head of the Department of Forest Resources, Hunting and Aquaculture, A.A. Kopabayeva, also participated.
Participation in the XII Conference and Exhibition of the Kazakhstan Landscaping Association became an important stage in the students’ professional development.
The students became acquainted with new approaches to landscaping, sustainable territorial development, and landscape design. This allowed them to expand their theoretical knowledge and observe how modern concepts are implemented in practice.
The second day of the conference provided an opportunity to work with applied case studies, analyze real projects, and explore modern design tools. This format contributed to strengthening their professional competencies.
The round table discussions and open dialogues enabled students to ask questions to experts, hear practitioners’ opinions, and understand the real needs of the industry. This contributed to the formation of professional thinking.
During the sessions and discussions, students learned about current professional standards, innovative solutions, and prospects for the development of the landscaping industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The “AOK LD Award 2026” award ceremony showcased the best projects and achievements of industry specialists, serving as a source of inspiration and motivation for future professional activities.
Participation in such a large-scale event facilitated networking with representatives of профиль organizations and potential employers.
Thus, the conference became not only an educational platform but also an important step in shaping students’ professional identity, strengthening their practical skills, and understanding modern trends in the development of landscape architecture and landscaping.
