Meeting held at KazNARU with representatives of Plast World (Central Asia Plast World)

On February 27, 2026, a working meeting was held at the Office of the Institute for Cooperation with Wageningen University with representatives of Plast World (Central Asia Plast World), aimed at strengthening partnership in the fields of sustainable development, education, and professional training of students.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Institute of Green and Sustainable Development (IGSD), including Director R.F. Abazov, Leading Specialist M.M. Suyunchaliyeva, and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Agrobiology A.M Shibikeyeva. Representatives of Plast World (Central Asia Plast World) also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including:

• participation of students and the university in specialized exhibitions and industry events (including participation in the exhibition on March 17–19, 2026);
• development of volunteer initiatives involving students in environmental and industrial projects;
• creation of employment opportunities for graduates, particularly in the context of developing “green jobs” aligned with the requirements of a sustainable economy;
• support for student entrepreneurship, including the company’s proposal to provide financial assistance and support for the implementation of student startup projects;
• proposal for a presentation at one of the panel sessions during the exhibition.

Special attention was given to practice-oriented education, strengthening collaboration between academia and industry, and enhancing students’ professional competencies in sustainable development, innovation, and environmentally responsible business.

Following the meeting, both parties expressed mutual interest in further developing cooperation aimed at supporting youth initiatives, enhancing graduate employability, and promoting the principles of sustainable development in education and professional practice.
