The environmental decade "Green Student Life-2026" has ended.
In April 2026, a ceremony summing up the results of the university-wide environmental decade "Green Student Life – 2026" took place.
As part of the decade, a number of important events were organized to foster students' environmental awareness and increase their responsibility for the environment. Specifically, plastic waste collection drives, environmental education meetings, and creative and educational activities were held.
At an eco-hackathon held as part of the decade, students presented their innovative projects and selected the best ones. The competition results were as follows:
Second place – students from group LG-25-07R, Adil Urazalinov and Tamerlan Berkut (supervisor: Inna Bazanova);
Third place winners – Kainar Parasat (TT-22-03K) and Balgabek Daniyar (OP-23-06k) (supervisor: Rakhat Cherikbaev) received special awards.
Students who participated actively in the "Future Engineer – Architect of a Green World" mentoring session, organized by the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, were also awarded. These students included:
Alinur Muratovich Ankezhan (ATT-25-01k),
Azamat Meirkhanovich Kelegbay (ATT-25-01k), and Humay Myradova (PO-25-05k).
Mentor: Akerke Dyusenbieva.
At the closing ceremony, students who actively participated in the Decade and contributed to environmental causes were awarded letters of gratitude and certificates.
This environmental decade fostered a compassionate attitude toward nature among students and allowed them to express their belief in "collecting today – preserving tomorrow!", which helped popularize these principles.
"Green Student Life-2026" once again proved itself to be an important platform for supporting environmental initiatives and increasing youth engagement.
