Eco Hackathon: Eco Startups of the Future

On April 21, 2026, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU), through the Institute of Green and Sustainable Development, held the “Eco Hackathon: Eco Startups of the Future.” Students from five university faculties participated in the hackathon, presenting seven startup projects.

The hackathon was not just an educational event, but an intensive project-based initiative where participants presented their own environmental and agro-innovative solutions.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in agrotechnologies, veterinary science, ecology, and innovative business processes. They also expanded their academic and professional networks and received feedback from jury members.

At the conclusion of the hackathon, participants received:

Yerbolat Orazbekuly — Director of the Commercialization Center at Turan University, founder of AUBIAC, Director of Turan Hub
Akbota Myrzaliyeva — Head of TOO L’design
Dias Zhumagaliyev — AI expert and entrepreneur, founder of BRIQ, a SaaS platform of autonomous AI agents

This hackathon served to engage students in developing entrepreneurial skills, advancing startups, and strengthening the startup ecosystem within the university.

During the event, prizes were awarded and certificates were presented to the top three winners.

The event was organized by the Institute of Green and Sustainable Development to foster startup initiatives at the university and support participation in international rankings.

A group photo was taken at the end, and photo and video coverage was conducted throughout the hackathon.
