The Summer School “Business Incubation of Startups for Sustainable Development” at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) continues its work. The second day of the program focused on developing entrepreneurial competencies, building sustainable business models, and exploring practical tools for launching innovative projects.

Participants of the Summer School, including undergraduate and graduate students, doctoral candidates, and young researchers, took part in interactive lectures and practical sessions dedicated to developing startups aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Special attention was given to innovative solutions for the agro-industrial sector, environmental initiatives, resource efficiency, and the implementation of modern technologies in agriculture.
During the sessions, participants learned methods for identifying market challenges, creating value propositions, designing business models, and assessing the commercialization potential of scientific developments. Experts and mentors shared practical experience in startup creation, investment attraction, and bringing innovative products to market.
As part of the second day’s activities, project teams continued developing their startup ideas and received individual mentoring on strategic planning, sustainable financing, and investment pitch preparation. Discussions on the role of university business incubators and startup ecosystems in fostering youth entrepreneurship and commercializing research generated significant interest among participants.
The Summer School serves as a unique platform for strengthening collaboration between science, business, and education while promoting entrepreneurial thinking and preparing a new generation of leaders in sustainable development.
The program continues with upcoming masterclasses, meetings with successful entrepreneurs, mentoring sessions, and presentations of participants’ startup projects.
