REPORT ON THE ROUND TABLE HELD TO PRESENT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH RESULTS
In accordance with the calendar plan of the scientific project, a round table titled “Digitalization of Agricultural Lands of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan” was organized on June 1, 2026, to present the results of scientific research.
The purpose of the round table was to introduce the scientific community, students and interested specialists to the research results obtained within the project “Creation of a Database of Solonetzic Lands on Pastures Using GIS Technologies by Geographical and Climatic Zones of Kazakhstan.” The project is implemented under the scientific and technical program BR22883585 “Development of Effective Technologies for Increasing the Productive Potential and Rational Use of Pastures.”
During the event, members of the research group presented the main results of the completed studies, discussed the application of geographic information technologies for monitoring solonetzic lands, and demonstrated the potential of creating a database for assessing the condition of pasture lands and making management decisions in the field of sustainable land use.
The round table was held as part of the International Summer School “Sustainable Agriculture under Climate Change Conditions,” annually organized by the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University. Holding the event within the framework of the summer school contributed to expanding scientific dialogue and exchanging experience between domestic and foreign specialists.
The participants of the round table included members of the project research group, foreign scientists, doctoral students, master’s students, young researchers and invited guests. During the discussion, the participants showed strong interest in the presented results and exchanged views on the digitalization of land resources, the application of GIS technologies in agriculture, and prospects for further research development in this area.
As a result of the round table, the practical significance of the obtained results for improving the monitoring system of pasture lands in the Republic of Kazakhstan was noted. The need for further implementation of digital technologies in the management of land resources within the country’s agro-industrial complex was also emphasized.
