KazNARU HOSTS MEETING ON “STUDENTS’ LEGAL LITERACY – THE FOUNDATION OF LAW AND ORDER”
On October 8, 2026, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University held an informational meeting with representatives of Almaty's law enforcement agencies on the topic “Students’ Legal Literacy – the Foundation of Law and Order.” Organized under the national “Law and Order” principle, the event aimed to improve students’ legal awareness, foster civic responsibility, and prevent violations of the law.
The meeting was attended by Orken Akhmadiyev, Senior Inspector of the Juvenile Police Unit of the Local Police Service of the Bostandyk District Police Department in Almaty, Senior Police Lieutenant, and Kadyrzhan Yeszhan, District Police Inspector of the Juvenile Police Unit of the Public Security Division of the Bostandyk District Police Department, Senior Police Lieutenant.
Police officers briefed students on crime prevention, public order, and personal safety. Particular attention was paid to money mule activities, including the risks of involvement in fraudulent schemes through the transfer of bank cards and accounts to third parties, as well as the legal consequences of such actions. The discussion also covered legal restrictions on minors being outside at night without their legal guardians, protection against online fraud, and compliance with public order regulations.
Maksat Imanbekov, Leading Specialist for Social and Legal Affairs at the KazNARU Youth Affairs Department, presented the key priorities of the Concept for Promoting the Ideology of Law and Order in Society for 2025–2030, approved by Resolution No. 200 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 1, 2025. He emphasized the importance of developing a strong legal culture among young people and fostering respect for the law.
The meeting continued in an open discussion format, allowing students to ask police officers questions on matters of concern. The specialists provided explanations of legal issues encountered in everyday life and shared practical advice on personal safety and responsible behavior.
The event contributed to strengthening students’ legal knowledge, preventing fraud and other offenses, and promoting a safe and responsible educational environment at the university.
