About the project
Relevance
The intensification of agricultural production with the irrational use of mineral fertilizers, plant protection products, growth regulators, and energy-intensive technical means will lead to serious and even irreversible changes in the environment, manifested in the degradation of soil fertility, a decrease in the quality of the products obtained, pollution of the environment and product nutrition.
In this regard, it is relevant to maintain an organic farming system in order to increase fertility, protect the environment and increase the productivity of agricultural production.
The purpose of the project
Scientific and practical substantiation of the use of adapted winter peas (pelushki) “Kosmaj” in the form of straw and green manure in independent and compacted (under-sowing) crops in southeast Kazakhstan, providing an increase in soil fertility, an increase in yield and quality of field crops.
Ожидаемые и достигнутые результаты The developed technologies for the use of straw and siderates of winter field peas (pelyushka) "Kosmaj" in independent and compacted (cover) crops will optimize the water-physical properties of the soil and increase its microbiological activity, ensure the accumulation of biogenic soil fertility resources for a deficiency-free balance of humus and mineral nutrition elements, strengthen phytosanitary and environmental functions by reducing the contamination of crops and reducing the spread of diseases of crops. All this in general will increase crop yields, product quality and productivity of agricultural land.
Achieved results
The use of straw and siderates of winter peas (pellets) "Kosmaj" in independent and compacted (cover) crops contributed to an increase in the organic matter content from 3.2 to 3.7% and the calculated humus value from 2.72 to 3.15%. The use of organic farming technology in combination of winter peas under the cover of corn and soybeans contributes to a higher concentration of bacteria compared to traditional cultivation methods. On average, 243.4 c/ha of green, 79.9 c/ha of dry weight, 17.1 c/ha of grain and 25.2 c/ha of straw were obtained in three years. The green mass, straw and grain of winter peas (pellets) "Kosmaj" provided 21.13%, 15.43% and 25.67% of protein, respectively. The maximum fat content (4.53%) is obtained in the green mass, the minimum (0.48%) in the grain. The maximum starch value (16.40%) in grain, the minimum (0.85%) in straw. Straw contains more fiber (33.61%). Soybeans grown using organic farming technology contain more protein (38.51%) and fat (18.42%) than traditional soybeans (36.15% and 17.11%), while corn has a high starch content (about 53%) regardless of the technology.
