About the project
Relevance
Currently, poultry farming is conducted on an industrial basis, involving the use of highly productive birds.
Isolation from the surrounding nature has led to the development of "herd pathology" in birds.
In such conditions, food remains the link between the birds' organism and nature. The natural shungite of the Bakyrchik deposit contains compounds of macro-microelements. The presence of carbon with a globular structure in a metastable state gives shungite medicinal properties.
Project idea: Development and pharmacotoxicology of new feed additives based on active shungites of Kazakhstan and veterinary and sanitary assessment of industrial poultry products when they are used.
Goal
Development and pharmacotoxicology of new feed additives based on active shungites of Bakyrchik (AShB) deposit and veterinary-sanitary assessment of poultry products while using them.
In the future, the scientific development of new prebiotic additives based on shungites from Kazakhstan raw materials improves quality of poultry products and ensures food safety.
Results expected and achieved
1.The technology and veterinary-sanitary requirements for the production of raw materials of active shungites for feed preparation will be investigated.
2.The technological properties of 4 active samples of AShB will be investigated:
1)shungite activated by mechanochemical method
2)activated shungite flotation concentrate
3)shungite activated by a vapor-gas mixture
4)shungite activated by acid-base method
3.The optimal composition of additives based on AShB for broilers and laying hens will be determined.
4.The protein-mineral feed additives based on AShB and meat-bone and fish meal will be will be created.
5.The pharmacotoxicological effect of using experimental samples of additives from AShB on laboratory animals will be investigated.
6.The histological studies of the internal organs of broilers and laying hens will be conducted.
7.Veterinary-sanitary assessment of poultry products while using feed additives based on AShB.
8.The heavy metals, pesticides and mycotoxins in compound feed and meat, egg while using new additives will be determine.
9.The practical recommendations of using the feed additives based on AShB in the poultry farming will be developed.
Information for potential users
The ability of the research team and the material and technical base allows you to complete all the tasks of the project. The developed veterinary feed preparations in this project are promising for commercialization and reduction of the negative effects of heavy metals in industrial poultry farming.
