In the face of global environmental and social challenges, the integration of university-based sustainable development principles becomes critical.
The concept of ESG and SDGs based on a sustainable university implies responsibility towards the future. This means that it is important to:
- use natural resources rationally;
- reduce the risk of species destruction;
- respect gender equality;
- fight climate change, poverty and hunger.
The world must evolve in a way that ensures a high standard of living in the present without harming new generations. This is what Ms. Prof. Riri Fitri Sari - Chairperson of UI GreenMetric delivered her presentation.
Dr. Junaidi, S.S., M.A. - Vice-Chairman for Programs, Communications and Partnerships shared the data of universities in Kazakhstan and spoke about the importance of participation in the international ranking of UI GreenMetric.
Other participants shared their experience in developing a sustainable university program, green campus, plastic recycling, working with student startups, etc.
