Solar Energy at the KazNARU Campus

On September 30, 2025, three modern solar panels donated by an international company specializing in solar energy were installed on the campus of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU). The project was implemented as part of the university’s program to promote alternative energy sources and contribute to a sustainable future.
This initiative marks an important milestone for KazNARU, not only in improving the energy efficiency of its infrastructure but also in creating an educational environment where students can study and apply advanced renewable energy technologies. Furthermore, the project promotes environmental responsibility among students, researchers, and faculty members.
The achievement is also significant for strengthening KazNARU’s position in international university rankings, particularly the QS rankings, where commitment to sustainable development and the implementation of green technologies are among the key evaluation criteria.
Students of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Energy participated in introductory training sessions, during which they learned about the installation and operation of solar panels. This hands-on experience complemented their theoretical knowledge and enhanced their professional competencies.
