The 2nd World Congress of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 3–4, 2025. The theme of the congress was "Emerging Trends in Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine for a Sustainable Future."

The Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine 2025 conference is a global platform for discussing and exploring topics in veterinary science and research, animal reproduction and genetics, animal nutrition and feeding, animal parasitology, fisheries and aquaculture, livestock and dairy farming, aquatic animal health, veterinary forensics, poultry farming, livestock production and management, the latest advances in farm animal nutrition, animal welfare, and animal-human interactions, among many others.

The Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine Conference brings together people interested in various areas of animal science and veterinary medicine. This is a platform for discussing issues of mutual interest, as well as exchanging knowledge, experience and ideas and finding solutions.

The conference was attended by G.D. Ilgekbayeva, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor of the Department of Biological Safety at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zooengineering at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, and B.K. Otarbayev, Associate Professor and Candidate of Veterinary Sciences, who presented an oral presentation on “Rhodococcus equi as an Infection in Goats: A Pathological Study”. The results of determining the dose of the pVapN plasmid of the Rhodococcus equi strain, which causes the disease in goats, were presented. The disease is characterized by hematological, pathological, and histological changes similar to those in foals.

This research was supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the grant project AP19680565 “Creation of goat's infection model by using virulent Rhodococcus equi containing pVAPN as a infection model of Rhodococcus in foals” (2023-2025).
