KazNARU HOSTS WORKSHOP TO ENHANCE STUDENTS’ PSYCHOLOGICAL AWARENESS
On October 15, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) hosted a workshop titled “Student Anxiety: Causes, Prevention and Self-Help Strategies.” Organized by the Harmony Psychological Support Service, the event aimed to enhance students’ psychological awareness and develop practical skills for everyday life.
During the workshop, participants discussed the causes of anxiety and its effects on thinking, emotional well-being, physical responses and daily activities. Particular attention was given to recognizing changes in one’s emotional state and responding to them consciously.
The practical session encouraged students to reflect on situations that cause concern and explore techniques for organizing thoughts, maintaining emotional balance and focusing on the present moment. Participants also learned to distinguish between circumstances within and beyond their control and explored self-help strategies for challenging situations.
At the end of the workshop, students shared their impressions and discussed how the techniques could be applied in their daily lives.
Such initiatives help students develop self-awareness, take a more mindful approach to their psychological well-being and recognize the importance of seeking support when needed.
