Online Training for University Students and Curators “Zero Waste: How to Reduce Waste and Take Out Trash Less Often” Held within the “ReStart” Project

On February 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, an online training session titled “Zero Waste: How to Reduce Waste and Take out Trash Less Often” was held as part of the environmental project “ReStart.” The event aimed to increase environmental awareness among university students and curators, as well as to develop practical skills for waste reduction. 40 participants attended the training, including representatives of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU).
During the training, participants learned about the key principles of the Zero Waste concept, effective ways to reduce household waste, and practical solutions applicable in everyday life and the university environment. Special attention was given to waste segregation, reuse of materials, and the development of environmentally responsible behavior.
The training was part of the “ReStart” project, which aims to promote a culture of sustainable consumption and implement environmental initiatives in higher education institutions. The knowledge gained will help students and curators contribute to improving the environmental situation, reducing environmental impact, and developing sustainable habits.
The event was held online, allowing participants from different regions to join and providing a platform for sharing experiences and discussing environmental initiatives.
