GRAND OPENING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE HELD at KazNARU

On February 27, 2026, KazNARU held the grand opening of an English language course for students. The event was organized as part of the university’s strategic focus on expanding international cooperation and strengthening its position in the global educational space.
The main goal of the course is to develop students’ communicative competence in English, enhance their academic and professional skills, and expand their opportunities to participate in international educational programs and research projects. The program places special emphasis on academic writing, speaking skills, professional terminology development, and preparation for international exams, including IELTS.
During the opening ceremony, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Gulmira Yegizbayeva highlighted the priority of international development within the university’s strategy. The international partnership geography of KazNARU continues to expand, cooperation with leading foreign universities and research centers is strengthening, double-degree programs are being implemented, and academic mobility for students and faculty is actively developing.
Special attention was given to the importance of foreign language proficiency. Knowledge of languages opens new doors and creates new opportunities. A specialist who not only excels in their professional field but also speaks foreign languages fluently can exchange experience directly with international colleagues without the need for an interpreter, significantly enhancing professional growth and expanding global collaboration opportunities.
As part of the project, selected groups will undergo intensive two-month training. An English Club is also being organized to improve students’ speaking practice.
Head of the Department of General Education Disciplines, Bauyrzhan Zhonkeshev, presented information about the course structure and implementation process. The course is offered free of charge. Students take a placement test, after which they are assigned to level-based groups and the class schedule is finalized.
In addition, the university offers German and Turkish language studies. Within the APOLLO program, students have the opportunity to complete a paid internship in Germany.
This initiative represents an important step toward increasing the academic and professional competitiveness of KazNARU students.
