Nauryz - the holiday of spring

Nauryz is the main holiday of the year for Kazakhs and many Asian nations, celebrated for more than five thousand years. It is the holiday of spring, the renewal of nature, the beginning of a new year, a new life. Celebration of Nauryz has pagan roots, it is a holiday of nature worship. Nauryz is celebrated on March 22 on the day of the vernal equinox. On this day celestial luminaries: constellations and stars after a year-long cycle come to the points of their original stay and begin a new path.

This holiday our people celebrated with such games as "Kyz kuu", "Kokpar", "Zhamby atu", "Audaryspak", "Arkan tartys", "Tehne iliu" , "Asyk atu".

The teacher of the department of "Physiology, Morphology and Biochemistry named after N.O.Bazanovy" Zhylkyshybaeva M.M. organized national games "Arkan tartys" and "Asyk atu".

 "Arkan tartys" - tug of war Kazakh national game, where the players are divided into two teams. In the middle of the site put a rope, the middle of the rope is marked with a ribbon, under the middle of the rope is held across the line.

Asyk atu is a fascinating national game of Kazakhs. The main necessary object in the game is asyki - a bone of the knee joint of a sheep, ram, goat, argali or cattle - cow or camel. Due to the fact that the nomadic Kazakh people were mainly associated primarily with animal husbandry, games in asyki were widespread among both children and adults. It does not require sports grounds and special forms, it is enough to find any flat surface. There are many games with asyki.
