Z.S. Aktamberdieva is a leading scholar studying the history of Kazakhstan and working on the formation of national values in the younger generation. In 1986, she graduated from the Faculty of History of the S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University, and in 2007, she defended her dissertation at the dissertation council of this university for the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences in the specialty of domestic history.
From 1986 to 1993, he worked as a junior research associate in the gemstone sector of the Central State Museum in Almaty.
In the fall of 1993, he worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, and associate professor of the department at the Agricultural Institute.
From 2008 to 2018, he served as Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Affairs at the University of Foreign Languages and Business Careers in Almaty. Since 2018, he has been an Associate Professor at the Department of General Education, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University.
He served as the head of the department in 2020-2023.
Retired in 2024. Currently works as a senior lecturer at the department.
In 2010, 2012, 2014, he worked as a member of the State Commission for the Inspection of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2011, 2013 and 2016, he worked as a member of the State Commission for the Conduct of UNT and CT at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Since 2014, he has been an independent expert of the NAAR and deputy chairman of the accreditation commission at several universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In different years, he was awarded the Certificate of Honor from the Akim of Almaty and the Rector of KazNAZU University for his contribution to providing quality education and conscious upbringing of young people at the university, and a letter of gratitude from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the departmental award of this ministry - the silver badge "Akhmet Baitursynuly" (2021), "90 years of the Kazakh National Agrarian University" (2022), "For contribution to agrarian education, science and production" (2023), and the badge "Labor Veteran" of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2025).
1981-1986. Graduated with honors from the Faculty of History of the Kazakh State University named after S.M.Kirov.
She is the author of more than 40 scientific publications in national and international journals.
In 2007, two textbooks on "Cultural Studies" were published.
In 2021, the textbook "Kazakh Intellectuals of the 19th Century" was published.
In 2022, together with Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M.Zh. Abdirov, the book "The Zhetysu Cossack Army: From the History of the Military-Cossack Colonization of Zhetysu, 1867-1917" was published.
