THE REPUBLICAN INFORMATION CAMPAIGN "QURMET" HAS STARTED!
Since February 9, 2026, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) has been implementing the “Qurmet” information campaign, aimed at fostering a culture of mutual respect and the observance of personal boundaries within the academic environment.
The campaign’s launch coincided with the “Mental Health Week – 2026”, organized by the Harmony Psychological Support Service. The initiative focuses on strengthening the psychological well-being of students and staff, enhancing emotional resilience, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
As part of the “International Year of Volunteers”, KazNARU also hosted an engaging workshop titled “Year of Volunteers: Service and Responsibility to Society”, highlighting the importance of social engagement and civic responsibility among youth.
“Qurmet” represents respect for another person’s choices, opinions, time, and personal space. The campaign emphasizes the importance of conscious and responsible behavior based on equality, the rejection of violence, and the absence of coercion.
The key idea of the initiative is recognizing every individual’s right to make their own choices. The campaign particularly stresses the understanding that “no means no”, and that respectful communication involves listening, hearing, and accepting another person’s position without pressure.
The “Qurmet” campaign will include informational events, themed meetings, and educational materials aimed at reinforcing the values of mutual respect and creating a safe educational environment.
KazNARU consistently supports initiatives that promote a culture of dialogue, trust, and mutual understanding among students and staff.
“Qurmet” is more than just a word—it is an important value that manifests in everyday communication. Let’s work together to create a culture of respect!
Contribute to the “Qurmet” campaign! Your photos, videos, or sincere messages shared on social media serve as vivid examples of how you help foster a culture of respect in society.
We invite everyone to take part in the Qurmet Challenge! Let’s start each day by showing respect to one another!
