OPEN DAY FOR STUDENTS OF THE ALMATY ECONOMIC COLLEGE
An Open Day was organized at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University for second-year students of the Almaty Economic College. The purpose of the event was to introduce students to the university’s scientific and innovative potential, showcase the capabilities of modern laboratories, and broaden their professional orientation.
Last academic year, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Almaty Economic College and the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University. Within the framework of this agreement, students have the opportunity to become more familiar with the university’s scientific environment, expand their professional prospects, and receive guidance on their chosen specialties.
The event was attended by students specializing in “Confectioner” and “Cook.” The group was accompanied by the curator Meruert Bakytyzhanovna and the industrial training master Asiya Alguvatova.
As part of the program, students were introduced to the university’s modern research infrastructure, visiting:
– the Scientific and Educational Innovation Center “Technology and Quality of Food Products”;
– the Reference Center for Safety and Quality of Agricultural Products;
– the laboratories of the Kazakhstan–Japan Innovation Centers.
Participants had the opportunity to communicate with faculty members, learn about the university’s scientific directions, the demand for various specialties in the labor market, and take part in presentations on the integration of education, science, and production.
The Open Day was organized by the Head of the Department “Technology and Safety of Food Products,” L.A. Mamaeva, and training master R.T. Dadashova.
The event broadened the professional outlook of college students, strengthened their interest in the fields of food industry, standardization, quality management, food preparation technologies, and agricultural sciences. The partnership between the university and the college serves as an effective educational platform aimed at preparing highly qualified future specialists.
