Representatives of the Department for Economic Investigations of Almaty Delivered a Lecture on Digital Security for KazNARU Students
On November 26, 2025, an informational lecture on digital security was held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University with the participation of Beibit Zhumabekuly Narbaev, Senior Operative Officer for Special Cases of the Department for Economic Investigations of Almaty, and Nurbolat Erlanuly Belgibayev, Senior Operative Officer of the same department. The lecture was organized within the framework of the “Law and Order” initiative and aimed at fostering a culture of protection among young people against offenses related to digital and financial security.
Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics attended the event and received information on modern legal risks and threats in the digital environment, as well as methods for preventing them. The meeting was moderated by the Student Ombudsman, Nazerke Bekseitkyzy Kuzen, who ensured effective communication and provided an opportunity for students to have their questions addressed.
Beibit Zhumabekuly Narbaev explained to the students the updated Article 262 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (“Dropper” activities). He emphasized that providing personal bank accounts to third parties, especially to three or more individuals, leads to criminal liability.
The speaker also highlighted the growing danger of deepfake technologies, noting the increasing number of cases involving the use of fake video and audio recordings to steal personal data, commit financial fraud, or damage individuals’ reputations. He urged students not to trust suspicious videos, to verify the authenticity of information, and to pay close attention to the protection of personal data.
In conclusion, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, Asylbek Mailybaiuly Musoev, and Deputy Dean Nuradil Nurbekuly Spatay underscored the importance of fostering a culture of legal awareness among young people, noting that such meetings play a significant role in ensuring student safety.
