KazNARU Strengthens Cooperation with China’s Shandong Research Institute

On December 10, 2025, the Department of “Zooengineering and Biotechnology” at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU) held a roundtable discussion titled “My Profession – My Pride” with the participation of faculty members and students of the educational programs 6B08201 – “Technology of Livestock Production” and 6B05102 – “Biotechnology.”

The meeting was opened by the Head of the Department, B.T. Kulatayev, who spoke about the importance of professional competence, methodological work, labor discipline, self-development culture, and building connections with society. He emphasized that continuous learning and personal improvement play a significant role in the professional formation of future specialists.

During the event, faculty members R. Kadyken, E. Baymazhen, and G. Zhumagalieva presented reports on the results of their scientific trip to the People’s Republic of China, to the “Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences,” which took place from November 10 to 14, 2025.

They shared that they had held meetings with the institute’s leadership and scientists, during which the parties discussed bilateral international scientific projects, joint research publications, co-authorship of monographs, and collaborative training of PhD doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers. Specific memorandums were signed, elevating the scientific partnership to a new level.

The Kazakh delegation also visited several facilities affiliated with the institute, including goat farms, sheep breeding complexes for meat production, beef cattle farms, and livestock product processing enterprises.

During the visit, the leadership of the Shandong Institute announced that PhD graduates of KazNARU would be accepted free of charge into postdoctoral programs funded by the Chinese government. Additionally, it was reported that a joint research laboratory had been opened, providing young scientists with excellent opportunities to conduct advanced research in the field of animal husbandry.

At the conclusion of the roundtable, participants noted that experience exchange and the development of mentoring connections provide a strong impulse for the professional growth of young specialists.

This event opened new opportunities for cooperation between future professionals and experienced educators.
