SPRING AS A HERALD OF RENEWAL AND REVIVAL
On February 17, 2026, a cultural and educational event entitled “Nauryz – The Beginning of Prosperity” was organized and conducted by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Zooengineering and Biotechnology, Sagymbek F.G., together with first-year Master’s students of the educational program 7M05102 – “Biotechnology.”
The primary objective of the event was to reveal the essence of the spring season as a symbol of natural and spiritual renewal, to promote national values, and to foster among students an understanding of the continuity of traditions and cultural heritage.
During the event, issues related to seasonal transformations in natural processes, characterized by renewal and the intensification of vital activity, were discussed, along with their interconnection with the spiritual state and worldview of individuals. Particular attention was given to the historical and cultural significance of the Nauryz holiday as one of the most important elements of traditional culture. It was emphasized that Nauryz represents not only a calendar celebration but also a symbol of unity, harmony, humanism, and constructive principles within society.
Within the framework of the event, the specific features of preparing the traditional dish “Nauryz kozhe” were thoroughly presented, including its composition of seven ingredients and their symbolic meanings reflecting the ideas of prosperity, well-being, health, abundance, and sustainable development. The significant role of this dish in the system of folk worldview and educational tradition was highlighted.
The meeting also promoted national customs and traditions and included an open exchange of opinions among participants, which contributed to the formation of a favorable academic atmosphere and the strengthening of cultural identity principles.
The conducted event enhanced the creative activity of Master’s students, broadened their academic and intellectual outlook, and served as a meaningful contribution to the promotion of spiritual modernization and the preservation of national cultural heritage.
