“THE FIRST STEP INTO SCIENCE: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF A YOUNG RESEARCHER”
On February 19, 2026, a meaningful meeting was organized by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Zooengineering and Biotechnology, Gulzat Gabit, with Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Academician, distinguished scholar and mentor Toleukhan Sadykulov.
The meeting was attended by students of the educational program 6B08201 – “Technology of Livestock Production” from academic groups MSh-25-01K, MSh-25-02K, and MSh-25-03K.
The main objective of the event was to increase students’ interest in research activities, help define their professional orientation, and motivate them to take their first steps in science.
During the meeting, the academician spoke in detail about his life journey and stages of scientific development, shared his experience in establishing a scientific school, and discussed his achievements. He also highlighted current research trends in zootechnical science, innovative developments in livestock production, and his contribution to the advancement of the field, while sharing his professional experience.
In his speech, the scholar emphasized the importance of scientific thinking culture, academic integrity, and continuous self-development for young professionals. He encouraged students to actively participate in research clubs and projects from an early stage and stressed the importance of the connection between science and industry.
At the end of the meeting, students asked questions and engaged in a meaningful discussion. The event gave a positive impetus to the professional development of future livestock specialists.
