EDUCATED AND COMPETENT YOUTH — THE FUTURE OF THE NATION
On February 20, 2026, the faculty members of the Department of Zooengineering and Biotechnology — Kulatayev B.T. and Kadyken R., together with students of group MS 24-02, organized an event dedicated to the importance and future prospects of promoting science among young people.
Science popularization is a crucial step in enhancing youth functional literacy, developing creative thinking, and strengthening national competitiveness. Scientific achievements form the foundation of the modern world. Thanks to science, humanity has made significant progress in animal husbandry, biotechnology, technological innovation, and the digitalization of agriculture.
However, not all young people fully understand the importance of science in everyday life. Today, more than ever, it is essential to focus on promoting science among youth in order to prepare a generation ready to meet future challenges.
Science popularization involves communicating complex scientific ideas and discoveries to a broad audience in an accessible language. As the foundation of tomorrow’s society, young people must recognize the value of science and understand their role within it. Education based on scientific knowledge develops critical thinking, supports informed decision-making, and encourages active participation in solving global challenges.
An educated generation is the guarantee of a bright future. Therefore, fostering competent, competitive, and well-rounded youth remains one of the key priorities of the state.
During the event, an engaging presentation was delivered, and an interactive quiz game was organized for participants. Students demonstrated high interest and active participation.
Providing comprehensive education and personal development for young people is the primary mission of every educator. Since the foundations of education and science are established at the university level, special emphasis is placed on developing students’ personal potential and creative abilities. The modern academic community strives to nurture active, creative, independent, and versatile individuals capable of innovative thinking and discovering new knowledge.
