“New Kazakhstan: The main priorities of constitutional reform”

On April 14, 2026, a roundtable discussion on "New Kazakhstan: Key Priorities of Constitutional Reform" was held. It was organized by N.B. Tauekelova, a lecturer in the Department of General Education at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University.

The event aimed to examine the New Constitution of our country not only as a legal document but also as a foundation for the development of society, civic consciousness, and spiritual values.

Participating in the roundtable were Vice-Rector for Educational Work A.Sh. Yeraliyeva; Associate Professor of the Faculty of the Higher School of Business and Law, PhD in Law M. Beisenbayeva; PhD in Law and Associate Professor B.T. Kuppaeva; Senior Lecturer Z.I. Ashimova; and students from KAZNAIU.

The roundtable opened with opening remarks by L.B. Nurbayeva, a senior lecturer in the Department of General Education, emphasizing the relevance of the topic in the context of modernizing Kazakhstan's political system and strengthening the principles of the rule of law.

M. Beisenbayeva, Associate Professor at the Higher School of Business and Law and PhD in Law, spoke at the roundtable, emphasizing the role of the Constitution in ensuring the rule of law in the country and its importance in protecting citizens' rights and freedoms. It was emphasized that knowledge of the Constitution allows them to understand not only their rights but also their responsibilities.

The roundtable contributed to the students' deepening their knowledge of contemporary political and legal processes in the Republic of Kazakhstan, developing their analytical skills, and fostering active citizenship. The discussion demonstrated the students' strong interest in issues of the country's constitutional development and their willingness to participate in academic debates.
