KazNARU: WE WANT TO SET AN EXAMPLE OF HOW TO DEVELOP AGRARIAN SCIENCE AND TRAIN MODERN PERSONNEL IN THE COUNTRY

"In the new academic year, new goals are clearly realised in our university, great changes are taking place. Recently, 6 research institutes and experimental farm have been transferred to KazNARU. In accordance with the experience of leading foreign universities, we are moving to a modern institutional model of research university, which is a functionally integrated system: research institute - university - experimental farm, i.e. research - training - production", - said Akhylbek Kurishbayev at an extended meeting with the participation of heads of organizations transferred to KazNARU in trust management.

Transferred to the trust management of KazNARU: Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Industry with experimental farm "Agropark Ontustik", KazSRI of Animal Husbandry and Fodder Production, KazSRI of Soil Science and Agrochemistry named after. U.U. Uspanov, KazSRI of fruit and vegetable growing, KazSRI of processing and food industry, KazSRI of economy of agro-industrial complex and development of rural areas, experimental farm "Merkensky".

In this regard, the activities of the university should be more focused on the development of strategic programmes for the development of research institutes, obtaining innovative scientific results and their introduction into production.

In the course of the meeting, specific steps were discussed to create an effective and modern management structure for agrarian science and education. Among other things, the issues considered were:

- Preparation of a 5-year development programme for each research institute;

- preparation of megaprojects for the development and implementation of innovations in breeding, veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and horticulture, processing of agricultural products, as well as in agro-industrial complex economics and rural development, etc.

-Transition to a dual system of personnel training based on research institutes;

-systemic measures to attract young researchers to science;

-attracting scientists and the base of research institutes for the training of scientific personnel;

- improvement of the material and technical base of research institutes, renovation of scientific laboratories and special equipment, construction of housing for young scientists and dormitories for master's and doctoral students.
