The Department of “Zooengineering and Biotechnology” Held an Open Practical Class on the Expert Evaluation of Valuable Fur Raw Materials

On November 26, 2025, senior lecturer of the Department of “Zooengineering and Biotechnology,” Gulzat Gabitkyzy Gabit, conducted an open practical class for students of the educational program 6V08201 – “Livestock Production Technology,” groups MSH-25-01K, TPPZh-23-01K, ATT-24-01K, ATT-24-02K, within the discipline “Technology of Primary Processing and Examination of Animal Raw Materials” on the topic “Fundamentals of Valuable Fur Raw Material Examination.”

The open class consisted of four sections:
“Our Team,” “If You Are Clever — Try to Find It,” “Skilled Expert,” and “Fashion Show.”
The lesson was enriched with visual and interactive materials and held in the format of an intellectual game. Students were divided into three teams: “Sable,” “Snow Leopard,” and “White Fox.”

In the “Skilled Expert” section, students carried out examinations of valuable animal raw materials based on national standards. This allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings and develop analytical and expert evaluation skills.

During the “Fashion Show” section, students presented items made from valuable fur. They demonstrated the aesthetic qualities and natural elegance of fur products, contributing to the development of their artistic taste.

Based on the results of the session, teams were awarded certificates of recognition:

  • 1st place — “White Fox” team (MSH-25-01K);

  • 2nd place — “Snow Leopard” team (ATT-24-01K, ATT-24-02K);

  • 3rd place — “Sable” team (MSH-23-01K).

The open class was dynamic, engaging, and productive. All planned objectives were successfully achieved, and students’ practical competencies were effectively strengthened.
